Jeffrey Mishlove PhD is the winner of the Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Studies essay contest.
He is the founder and host of Thinking Allowed and New Thinking Allowed, and the author of several books including The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, Thinking Allowed, and The PK Man.
He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in ‘parapsychology’ ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley).
He currently teaches parapsychology at the Holmes Institute for ministers in training, with the Centers for Spiritual Living, and is the past president of the Intuition Network, and past-vice-President of the Association for Humanistic Psychology.
He is the recipient of the Pathfinder Award for contributions to the study of human consciousness.
Jeff’s input into the study of mediumship and related abilities is truly second-to-none, and his essay win is sincerely deserved. Jeff speaks about mediumship and psi as if they are normal aspects of human consciousness, as researchable and study-able as preferences or personalities. The world needs more like him.
In this interview we discuss:
What counts as consciousness?
What does the current scientific mainstream get wrong about the relationship between the brain and consciousness?
How did Jeff’s interest in parapsychology begin?
What is the most impressive evidence to suggest survival after death?
The main arguments that won him the BICS essay prize.
The future of parapsychological research.
His favourite karaoke song to sing of a Saturday night.
…and much more besides!
